Hi there, Thanks for sharing the details of your situation and ticket number. Since this is a billing issue involving an unpaid invoice and Copilot subscription, only the GitHub Support/Billing team can actually access your account and void the pending invoice. Community members and moderators here in Discussions do not have access to billing systems. A few suggestions to help move this forward: Include your ticket number (#3974507) and mention that it has been open since Dec 23, 2025 with no human response for 4 weeks. Clearly state that the Copilot renewal was accidental, all payment attempts were intentionally declined, and you have already cancelled the renewal in your settings. Ask specifically for the pending invoice to be voided to stop further automated payment retries. If you have not already done so, you can also try contacting GitHub Support directly through the Contact link in the footer or via the Support portal and reference this same ticket number so it can be escalated to the Billing team. |

Thanks for the clarification. I have updated the support ticket #3974507 again with these details, as suggested. However, I will leave this discussion open until the Billing team actually resolves the issue, just in case further escalation is needed. Regards. |

Hi! Since your issue involves an unpaid invoice and subscription cancellation, the fastest way to resolve this is directly through GitHub Billing Support. A few tips to get it handled faster: Reply to your existing support ticket #3974507 with a clear summary of the pending invoice and cancellation. Mention that all payment attempts were declined intentionally and that the renewal was cancelled. Request explicitly: “Please void the pending invoice to stop automated payment retries.” If you don’t hear back within a few days, you can escalate by marking the ticket high-priority or replying via the GitHub Support portal. Community Managers cannot directly void invoices, so escalation via the support ticket is required. Including all details clearly increases the chance that a billing agent resolves it quickly. |

@abevz If you need to stop the payment attempts, simply remove your payment information and cancel the subscription. If payments are still coming through, it means your previous subscription wasn’t fully paid and you continued using it. Because of that, they are still trying to charge you for the month you used. I had the same situation recently |

Update: Support finally responded via ticket and voided the pending invoice manually. The issue is fully resolved. Thanks everyone for the suggestions. |

Hi Community Managers,
I am requesting assistance with my support ticket #3974507.
The Situation:
Ticket Created: Dec 23, 2025 (4 weeks ago).
Status: Still "Open" with no human response.
Issue: My account has a pending unpaid invoice for an accidentally renewed Copilot subscription. All payment attempts were declined (as intended), and I have already cancelled the renewal in settings.
Request: I need a billing agent to simply void the pending invoice to stop the automated payment retries.
Could you please help escalate this to the Billing team?
Thank you.
